Hi Philipp, since I'm not familiar with dpatch or debdiff (or any aspects of the debian build system), I made the changes manually. I'm attaching a diff of cyrus-sasl2_2.1.22.dfsg1-18ubuntu2.diff that includes all the changes I made.
