Hey everyone,
So I've had issues previously when installing GRUB on the server editions of
Ubuntu (12.04 and 14.04) when installing the server from USB (As it installs
GRUB to the USB by default). I know how to get around the issue, but is a bit
of a nause, especially when you can't tell what your storage has been mounted
as. For example, when I installed it on my server with a RAID 1 configuration,
to find out what it has been mounted as, I had to execute a shell ... I know
what you're thinking ... "Here's my tiny violin, playing the worlds saddest
song" ...
But, in the Desktop versions of Ubuntu, it makes it easier to tell it where to
install GRUB, as all the mounted drives are listed, and you can just choose
one, rather than have to find the name of the volume ...
Am I being pedantic, or does anyone else think it could be something that could
change?
