Hi Tony, hardware specs of the "old netbook"?

Usually netbooks are heavily underpowered and I would definitely NOT run a 
latest *nix distro on them as it would be a very poor experience (even if 
everything DID work as expected). If it is what I think it is (1GB RAM, Intel 
Atom etc style netbook) I would look into hacking something like ChromeOS onto 
it instead as it is essentially only a browser so it *should* be able to run 
that OK.
