Dear Team,
I’d like to take part in the community, but, because I’m not very
experienced in theese things (but after all i have installed and,
partly individualized my ubuntu myself), how ?
Fearing of getting frustrated, befor beginning, I decided:
Maybe it helps to tell you just, what I experienced trying to start:
Although my english should not be too bad without using a dictionary,
it’s not easy for me to understand the content of “getting involved”.
The reason: Even yousing online dictionary (dict.cc)
I ‘m not able to find sense in for example “testcases” and “flavor”.
Maybe it’s because I’m fifty, german and physician (…giggle…), or,
maybe “Ich bin zu alt für den Scheiss” (remember lethal weapen?)
But on the other side, maybe it would make sense to make your langage
style a lttle more simpy,(more englisch and less american).
Hi - not all of us use American English - I at least use real English :)
Flavours are the different variants of Ubuntu - such as Xubuntu,
Kubuntu, Lubuntu etc http://www.ubuntu.com/about/about-ubuntu/derivatives
The testcases are the tests that we run - there are quite a few of them,
some are general ones - for instance a test for the liveiso is common to
all flavours.
Others are more specific - Xubuntu has a post installation testcase that
only we use.
If you think you'll get frustrated then perhaps check the various
activities we do - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Activities
You can ask people questions in real time at

But it is real time - so it might be some time before people answer you.
