I am not sure of this, or I'd be working on a bug report. Kubuntu 10.04 on a Dell Vostro laptop.
I have always used wget for downloading iso's. Our service in rural Mexico is nothing to write about. Also we have file size limitations which I did not understand until I installed vnstat last week. Over the years wget always gave perfect md5sums no matter how many times I interrupted the download with CTRL-Z, then restarted it. In recent months, I get bad downloads. I finally let kde-dvd run all the way with no interruptions, and got a good download. I had tried 3 times with interruptions and all three were bad on md5sum. It may be coincidence. I need to do a lot more work before I decide it is a real problem or not. Also, I need to try a later version and see if it is the same. I think I will need to do a small iso such as puppy. 1.3 GB is too large for experiments on my service. -- Ubuntu-qa mailing list Ubuntu-qa@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-qa
