That's the required procedure to get your channel logged at <http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/> and I think that the #ubuntu-quality channel would surely benefit from that.
Please do note that it seems to be a legal obligation (in some countries?) to notify users in the channel topic that the channel is being logged.
