Public bug reported:
The parsing of the parameters to "adb shell" is different between the
Ubuntu version and the original Google version. This change breaks all
scripts that rely on the (weird) escaping of the original version.
Examples:
Behavior of Ubuntu version:
$ /usr/bin/adb shell echo "'hi'"
'hi'
Behavior of Google version (expected):
$ /opt/adt/sdk/platform-tools/adb shell echo "'hi'"
hi
Versions:
$ /usr/bin/adb -v
Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.32
$ /opt/adt/sdk/platform-tools/adb -v
Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.32
Revision 09a0d98bebce-android
$ lsb_release -a
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
