I am assuming the package just needs to be updated. I downloaded the most current sdk platform tools and was able to unlock using Windows.

Neither "fastboot oem unlock" or "fastboot flashing unlock" work. both functions return this: FAILED (remote: unknown command) finished. total time: 0.011s This failure is specific to the Nexus 6P as I have not encountered this issue with other nexus devices, or other phones.
