@taiebot65 Starting and stopping ofono multiple times isn't advised.
I looked at the output of list-modems in comment #1 and comment #2, and in both cases the your phone is registered to Vectone with 'umts', and ofono's ConnectionManager interface shows your device as both 'Powered' and 'Attached' with bearer = 'hspa'. Can you also run 'list-contexts' after you boot the device, and attach /var/log/syslog? The dmesg file isn't really helpful as it just shows kernel messages, whereas NM logs to syslog, and we can see connection activation attempts. Also, after booting, please wait least 5m and see if the device activate your mobile data connection. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Phonedations bugs, which is subscribed to ofono in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1431026 Title: regression cannot connect to 3g network on boot on vivid r129 Status in ofono package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Device nexus 4 mako running devel-proposed r129 On stable and devel channel 3g connection works as expected. On vivid channel r129 i can not connect to 3g network, after booting my phone. If i restart ofono with sudo stop ofono and sudo start ofono multiple times, after a while i manage to get an active connection but i lose the indicator icons and it just becomes a setting icon. Everything works after that as expected. i have attached the 2 ./list- modems one after a fresh boot and one after i manage to connect to the 3g network. i am also attaching a picture of the setting icon.
