technology for your data connection is indeed 'edge'.
What operator are you using?
Does RTM establish a 3g data connection?
Have you touched the modem firmware at all and/or flashed Android on the
device recently?

cellular data connection only gives 2g when 3g is positively
available.

Bug description:
Since flashing to devel-proposed (r115) the phone will no longer make
a 3g data connection. When I switch off wifi, the top menu will always
display a 2g connection only.
