No idea how the flashing from different OSs works, we only tested the
flashing from Stock Canonical Ubuntu Touch, but afaik it also works from
stock android, not sure about that. I don't have a meizu to test right
now, sorry.

but the RRemix sets up a weird root that doesn't seem to allow the
flash to complete.
Presumably I have to flash the old beta recovery/Flyme version that
enabled root?
Can anyone suggest what's needed to flash the Flyme beta (link, step
by step process), then hopefully to ubports.
