I wanted to use macchanger to hide my real mac, because I don't like being tracked between wifi hotspots by the big comm companies.
I've made a chroot and installed it via apt-get. I've taken down the interface. But still it says it's not permitted due to insufficient permissions or interface up. ifconfig only shows lo when I try.
