Hi, I'm using a Meizu Pro 5 (running rc-proposed Version 246) as a daily driver in full desktop convergence mode (using a Microsoft Windows Display Adapter V2 and an old Dell monitor, with a bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse). However, I'm coming across a number of bugs (or at least suggestions for improvements) that seem to be directly-related to being in Desktop Mode but am not exactly sure where to log them - I was wondering if somebody could give me an idea? First off, I'm primarily a Terminal user (accessing multiple servers over ssh), so we'll start there: 1) Terminal fonts are not scaled up when switching from Phone mode to Desktop mode (and vice versa) and so font size needs to be manually adjusted in the Terminal settings each time. 2) Is it possible to switch between multiple Terminal tabs using a keyboard shortcut? 3) Occasionally, the bluetooth keyboard cursor keys stop working as intended and result in either the letters A, B, C or D being typed instead. Restarting Terminal solves this problem.
More generally: 4) Super critically, webbrowser-app, dekko and all related webapps are non-functional in Desktop Mode - they launch and then crash immediately. I've got around this by using Firefox in Libertine 5) Given the bluetooth mouse lag I seem to be suffering, I'd rather use the keyboard (which doesn't seem to lag as much) whilst in Desktop Mode - is there any way to access the Search command in the Dash with a keyboard shortcut, to launch apps that are not in my Launcher? I suppose I'm slightly confused as to whether these bugs are submitted under their respective app bugs (e.g. Terminal, webbrowser-app) or under a more general Mir/Unity 8/Convergence Mode bug. I know there's an existing bug regarding the washed out display in Desktop Mode (https://bugs.launchpad.net/aethercast/+bug/1585534) but I seem to have temporarily got around this by using an old Dell Monitor (Model 1907FP) with a lower resolution and running the Microsoft Windows Display Adapter through an HDMI-to-DVI adapter - and the screen is *almost* crystal clear. Again, I'm quite happy to be a guinea pig for this wonderful cutting edge technology and would love to contribute to development (primarily by providing feedback) as best I can. Cheers Bry
