There's more to Ubuntu Touch than just the commercial devices. Only
talking about Meizu, BQ and Nexus when talking about UT is like only
talking about System 76 when talking about Ubuntu in general.

Yes, that is what I implicitly meant. I searched through 30+ pages (of
this list) to see if anyone had previously attempted usb tethering for
the Pro 5. I gave up after 30 or so click throughs.
That, as well as the askubuntu forum dilutes the focus, insofar as the
Ubuntu phone is relegated to an obscure tag (not in the menu) and is
not a website devoted specifically to Ubuntu phones (Nexus, BQ, Meizu).
Another benefit of a specialized forum is the ability to add (control)
additional content, such as polls, calls for funding, etc.
The askubuntu link (provided earlier) is for Ubuntu Touch, which can
and does mean many devices that are not officially supported, again
diluting the focus (and in my opinion, results).
One of the keys to business success is focus -- very important for
young businesses to do one thing and do it well to expedite market
penetration (diversification can be done later, when there's
sufficient cash-flow and funding to wear start-up costs).
