Hi,
Thanks for the help and tips you have offered. I have fiddled with this
for a while now without any luck. I am pretty close, but the last stage
of the connection process fails.
This is what I have done:
1. Downloaded the Citrix client for Linux. I first chose the one for
amd64 architecture and naturally got error messages when trying to
install. I then got the one for the right processor architecture for
my BQ Aquaris E4.5 and this installed nicely.
2. I tried to log on to my company's server (as I do on a daily basis
from my Ubuntu desktop). This failed with the error message shown in
the attachment.
3. Thanks to tips from the readers of the ubuntu-phone mailing list I
located the directories with binary and configuration files for the
Citrix client on my phone.
4. I completed step 5 of the Citrix guide on the Ubuntu Wiki
<https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CitrixICAClientHowTo> and checked
that the /cacerts/ directory had been populated with additional
CA-certificates.
5. I retried logging on to my company's server. Same result. Error
message as in the attachment.
Unfortunately, I cannot get any help from my company's IT department.
The answer from them is simply that I am not permitted to log on with
anything other than laptops/units running certified Windows OS/software
with licences owned by the company. As mentioned, however, I have done
this on a daily basis from my Ubuntu laptop. I have also succeeded in
connecting from an Android phone with the Citrix client installed a
couple of years ago, so I can't see any reason why it should not work
from my Ubuntu phone, now that the Citrix client installs so nicely.
Does anyone know how to overcome the issue shown in the attached screenshot?
Regards,
Ari

Hi,
I installed it using the deb package for the latest version (13.3) at:
https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/linux/receiver-for-linux-latest.html#ctx-dl-eula
This package is installing the Citrix files under /opt, so for my
libertine-container with id "vivid" I found the certificates at:
/home/phablet/.cache/libertine-container/vivid/rootfs/opt/Citrix/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts/
Still haven't tried it, because I don't have an external keyboard for
my Nexus 4 and don't have on-screen Keyboard yet (I believe it's
already available on rc-proposed but I'm on stable)
Let us know how it goes!
Best Regards,
Felipe.

Hi Ari.
Have you looked in
"$HOME/.local/share/libertine-container/user-data/vivid"? I'm
quite interested to see if you can get Citrix working, I think
that would be quite a feat.
FYI, if you're running on desktop you can build containers using
distros newer than vivid to get the latest software.
Good luck!

Hi,
I have followed the guide by Kyle Nitsche
<http://kylenubuntu.blogspot.no/2016/07/running-x-apps-on-ubuntu-devices.html>
on installing xapps on Ubuntu Touch and managed to install
Libreoffice, Firefox, and now, the Citrix ICAClient.
The Citrix client installs nicely. However, I was unable to
locate the folder for the CA-certificates. I then chanced
connecting to my company's server anyway. The first step
(login / authentication) worked fine, but when I subsequently
clicked on the icon that is supposed to bring up my desktop,
it doesn't work.
From previous experience I guessed this might be due to a
missing CA-certificate, but I am not sure. Should this be the
problem, I would like to copy the missing certificate to the
correct folder. However, I am unable to locate it.
I have poked around the directory tree of my device a bit,
expecting to find a folder named 'vivid' somewhere (name of
the libertine container), containing the directory tree where
x-apps are installed on the device. So far, though, no luck.
Maybe I have misunderstood?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Ari
