Hello everyone! Apologies for the missing yesterday's daily e-mail - this was due to a system failure on my side. After I got things working again there was simply no time to bring you the news.
And this time there's some news to be shared, as a lot of good landings have been processed in the meantime. It all started off with the new release of mir (0.24) with multiple fixes and enhancements (huge list, some of which are: trust prompt fix for camera, AltGr final fixes, mouse phantom edge fix, rotation issues and more), followed by a new ubuntu-ui-toolkit with some small visual changes and a lot of bugfixes, new libertine, backports of new versions of libhybris and gstreamer, new oxide-qt 1.16.8 (most notably with the camera orientation fix for frieza/cooler), a new release of ubuntu-download-manager (QML api additions, segfault fix), a rewrite of the system update panel in ubuntu-system-settings and, finally, a new xorg-server fixing a bug of some unclickable buttons after screen rotation. Phew. We will drag out the freeze for OTA-13 till next week though as we would still like to get copy-paste-legacy-apps support - as it's a very important feature we'd like to ship with this update. From other good news: yakkety-proposed might soon be unblocked. If all goes well we might re-enable regular CI Train silo publishing on Monday.
