hello.
alright, i flashed the device following the instructions here:
https://developer.ubuntu.com/en/phone/devices/installing-ubuntu-for-devices/
my mmcblk0p6 seems to be fine again:
/dev/mmcblk0p6 2.0G 1.4G 629M 69% /
OS version is on: 15.04(r24)
"Updates" does not give me an option to update the system.
a 'sudo system-image-cli -v' gives me:
...
[systemimage] Apr 21 18:17:34 2016 (29310) [0xb6396290] Group download
reactor done
[systemimage] Apr 21 18:17:34 2016 (29310) Already up-to-date
[systemimage] Apr 21 18:17:34 2016 (29310) state machine finished
information about the systme-image:
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ sudo system-image-cli -i
current build number: 24
device name: krillin
channel: ubuntu-touch/stable/ubuntu
^ for krillin you should flash the channel
ubuntu-touch/stable/bq-aquaris.en instead.
The documentation lacks details about the channels apparently and should
point to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Channels
stable/ubuntu is really outdated.

Hi Matthias.
thanks for formatting my disk-layout!
i recognized it too late...
my mmcblk0p6 looks like yours:
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ mount | fgrep /dev/mmcblk0p6
/dev/mmcblk0p6 on / type ext4 (ro,relatime,data=ordered)
Did you switch your device to read/write mode and installed additional
packages at some point?
If you never did this, could you file a bug in launchpad against
canonical-devices-system-image [1] and attach:
- /cache/recovery/log
- /cache/recovery/last_log_r
- the output of df
- run the command below on the device and attach the resulting file
/tmp/find.list
sudo find / -xdev -ls > /tmp/find.list
We'll take it from there.
However, if you installed additional packages, a reflash of the device
*without* wiping user data should fix it.
Thanks
JB.

that is good to know.
after cleaning the phone i have 3.7GB free space, but the update fails

Hi Ingo,
I took the time to format your disk layout to something readable and
I'm adding mine; maybe this gives you or someone the clue about; what
comes in my mind: why is /dev/mmcblk0p6 used 100%? Do you have your
system mounted writeable? mine is:
phablet@ubuntu-phablet-bq:~$ mount | fgrep /dev/mmcblk0p6
/dev/mmcblk0p6 on / type ext4 (ro,relatime,data=ordered)
