It does not need an event first. QInputInfoManager::deviceMap() will give a

I have both a laptop and desktop that are touch screens.
I suspect that the QInput API is simply the wrong API for my particular problem.
it's an API that is being developed. :)
If it has a touchscreen and the screen is size > xx might be guess. or,
if it has hybris on it. :)
