Hello everyone, OTA-8 validation almost done! Apologies for the missing daily e-mail on Friday - it was a long and exhausting work-day. At the end of last week the remaining blocker fix has landed, but we had another one spotted during the weekend. This time the issue was in the camera-app [1], but this got swiftly fixed and released to the store. An image has been re-spinned, tagged and will now be passed over to BQ for validation.
So far it seems we still might make it on time for the release, maybe up to one day of delay. Expect the new update on your phones in around 2-3 days. OTA-9 gates are open since last week as well, with a new webbrowser-app landing already. We also updated the touch seeds to include packages for Thai font support. We have also been working on making devel-proposed images working again. Jean-Baptiste helped out in finding the cause of the images not booting, with a quick fix deployed afterwards. We also fixed image build failures that have been around since last week. We need to get xenial back up to shape.
