Hello everyone, I'm back again with your daily e-mails after being unavailable for the last 3 days. Let's try to get you up to date with the current OTA-8 status.
The first image candidate is prepared and copied to the rc channel for testing. We are still waiting for bug LP: #1515356 [1] to be fixed before we're ready for release, but QA is using this time to check for any other regressions on our images. But in the meantime the overlay-ppa is open for any OTA-9 landings so that development is not stalled because of the release period. Generally for this milestone the rc-proposed channel is available for all future OTA work while the rc channels will be used for testing and building any new OTA-8 re-spins. We will also be testing the OTA image tagging live in production soon. Anyway, so far so good. But all this means we might be a bit delayed with our release. The initial date was planned for the 18th but due to us waiting for more fixes this might be moved by 1-2 days longer. We'll keep you up-to-date once we know for certain.
