I also have a 2012 Nexus 7
There is also a NAND flash hardware error that causes very poor
performance.
I do not know if it effects all units

As I understand it the main issue with the N7 2012 is that the GPU is
a Tegra part which I believe caused some headaches. Not sure the Mir
guys would want to re-visit that :)
