there is a few units out there i looked at a fitbit... but having to
have a dongle in my home machine to update just seemed a bit of pain -
and the product is pretty good and the stats, be just nice to see it
talk to the ubuntu phone
wonder if it would be a lot of work to get it running?

It's just my opinion, but wouldn't the money be better spent on a device
that comes with an open protocol? If such a device exists.
