I guess this is a really important issue. Support of open standards (CalDAV and CardDAV, in this case) should be a priority, given that a lot of Ubuntuphone users choose this platform as way to escape from big players data silos.
Owncloud syncing is already possible, but configuration still not exposed to the user interface.
