Hi, I have recently installed ubuntu on a nexus 4. I'm on vivid (devel-proposed) and haven't tried other channels. I had the experience, that the sim card working, depends on the android version being installed before. I tried with kitkat: no audio, no sim, but wifi, after I flashed an older radio version. With the latest lollipop: Mobile data (except handover from WiFi to data sometimes needs reboot), telephony and sms are working well. Also I found no sim card provider offering truely prepaid data plans. Best regards, Christian Love it, Change it, Or leave it.
Hi, I am coming to a work next week in Germany and I thought I would bring my Nexus 4 running 14.09 stable. I've never had a SIM in it, only using it via Wifi until now. I thought I might get a SIM while I'm in Germany. Do happen to know ones that are most suitable for Ubuntu on the Nexus 4? If not, do you have any recommendations on where I should look? thanks, Brian |
