with the small notification at the top you have to use two hands, it looks very strange if my little daughter answers the phone with one hand on the old motorola defy (android 2.2) and you have to use two big old hands :) to answer the call on new mobile os. Full screen swipe is implemented on most android implemantation because this is the most convenient solution. period.
