Hi everyone, Some good news. Today we have decided to promote a new image to the ubuntu-rtm/14.09 channel! Mako image #75 and krillin image #88 will be soon available for users to upgrade into as #4. We still see some issues here and there, but it anyway shows interesting progress of our Ubuntu Touch system. We are now waiting for Oliver to proceed with pressing the promotion button. Please not that due to the late hour this might take up to till tomorrow morning UTC.
It seems we're able to keep at least a stable velocity of one ubuntu-rtm promotion per week. Yay. What to expect in this image? It's mostly bug-fixes currently, but a quick overview shows these changes: * Orientation lock support * Calendar sync only when calendar-app is installed * network-manager wifi scans * New oxide * Bugfixes in many components like unity8, keyboard, application and much more! We also noticed some issues with utopic autopilot smoketesting. Some tests seem to sometimes loop into infinity again - which seems to have started with image #272 mako. We still didn't find the offending package as the issue seems not reproducible locally. Investigation continues. Also, this week we'll concentrate on pushing upstreams to fix the crash situation on both images.
