My two cents Whatever is playing the sounds for incoming call or SMS should be configured to disable these.
Is that assuming that the silent mode concerns only those apps? When I asked design, they said that it should apply to any application (e.g playing a video in the media player, while in silent mode, should result in no sound).
If that's really the wanted design, I think it makes more sense to make the default qt api do the right thing (and provide a flag to allow overriding it, for apps that need to do that). What do you think?
There is a Qt API for Haptic Feedback, I would check that first.
Thanks for the pointer, I'm going to check that out.
I think Vibration is simply enabled or disabled. Silent mode could disable vibration as well unless this is on.
That makes sense Cheers, Sebastien Bacher -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone Post to : ubuntu-phone@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
