Is that assuming that the silent mode concerns only those apps? When I asked design, they said that it should apply to any application (e.g playing a video in the media player, while in silent mode, should result in no sound).

If that's really the wanted design, I think it makes more sense to make the default qt api do the right thing (and provide a flag to allow overriding it, for apps that need to do that). What do you think?

There is a Qt API for Haptic Feedback, I would check that first.

I think Vibration is simply enabled or disabled. Silent mode could
disable vibration as well unless this is on.
