Did you backup all of your database from the old system by exporting all tables and then inport the old tables into the new one? [If you can, I strongly suggest you do so. Such scripts are within the mythtv's but I cannot remember exactly where but if you do a search on database backups on the mythtv forums you will find them as well as instructions in their usage].
