The defrag package originally written over 20 years ago mostly by Theodore Tso, Remmy Card, and Linus Torvalds. It went unmaintained for many years and finally was removed from Debian and Ubuntu 2 years ago. I have resurrected the package and am looking for sponsorship to review it and upload it to the universe repository.
I created a project page for it on launchpad.net/e2defrag, which includes a bzr repository. I have updated the code to work with ext4 and made several optimizations. A build can be found for testing in my ppa:psusi/ppa. If someone could review the packaging, I'm sure there are things that should be fixed before uploading it to universe. -- Ubuntu-motu mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-motu
