As noted in my last email, I've activated the PPA of the MOTUMedia team. I'd like to ask my fellow MOTUMedia team members to follow this example and upload test packages of packages like vlc, mplayer and xine there. At some point, we'll be able to do NativeSourceSyncs, that is to sync source packages from one archive (like a PPA) to the ubuntu archive.
ATM, I have the impression that the motumedia team consists of rather inactive members, me including. There are quite some people who applied for MOTUMedia, but I've never heared from them via email or irc, so I didn't bother to add them to the team. If they are really interested in bug triage for multimedia packages, using the motumedia PPA, etc, please speak up now. I might be that my impression is wrong. If this is the case, please contact me. The team used to be lead by me, assisted by crimsun and slomo. We all three don't seem to have been very active lately. I therefore conclude that leadership of that team more or less failed. I might be wrong here as well, so please correct me here. I'm writing you this email as a request for advice. Do we still need the MOTUMedia team, and are there other people around who are willing to take over? Please post your opinions to the motumedia-mailing list. -- Gruesse/greetings, Reinhard Tartler, KeyID 945348A4
