Hello, I know that you are just the maintainer of the packet but maybe you can do something or give the info. In fact, one of the only thing it misses to that fabulous Gnome Applet is the possibilty to cusotmize a little bit it (change icon and applet text) in order to better integrate it in Ubuntu environment.
