Dear all, There is a piece of software I am interested in packaging. I am currently reading all docs in the wiki, however I am a bit stuck with the naming of the package.
I have downloaded the tarball from http://github.com/satanas/Turpial/downloads The original tarball name is satanas-Turpial-1fe9fa5.tar.gz, I have been suggested that since the name does no increase in number like svn that name may not be sensible. I have chaged the name to turpial_1.0_b3.orig.tar.gz however once I extract the contents the resulting folder is satanas-Turpial-1fe9fa5 If my memory does not fail me, I have to repackage the tarball. any suggestions or doc I can read about this?
