Actually what Jordan Hewitt suggested earlier gave me an idea (suggestion) to improve this applications process for MOTU mentorhips: what if you create a lauchpad team (motu-wannabes) that has the mentors as admin of the team and people can subscribe to the team (moderated team subscription). Then, people can subscribe to the team and mentors can approve the members. Then you can see who is the mentor, what is the place in the queue, how long since someone was approved and altogether we gain in transparency. Not to mention that you can easily discribe the process to get to MOTU that you need to be member in this team.
Any comments? Personally I find it funny that we need more resources in Ubuntu but we keep guys waiting for 4 months.
