Using library as the channel for promoting Ubuntu Linux can be a good idea.
this is because the library is the place where student visits, and the
population of student can be large too. therefore, if some student in library
try out ubuntu linux, then the market share of ubuntu linux can be improved
too. so, distributing CD to student is allowing them to know ubuntu linux. But
the problem is, the student who have the CD does not mean they will install it
and try it. after student have the CD, they may just put it aside. hence, it
is still a gap for student to try ubuntu linux in action.

The solution may be the one that can provide ubuntu linux installation
service for those students who are interested in linux.

Promoting ubuntu linux to library management could be difficult as one of the
member pointed out - most of the library have thier IT service center, and most
of them are using other platform.
