Alternatively such releases should be reflected as joint releases where in this case "About Obsidian" and their PR contacts would have made it look like a joint effort so that your excuse now would have looked appropriate :-) Perceptions and wordings do matter in the PR world and therefore my opinion expressed on this marketing list.
