Just a couple of suggestions: 1) that page starts with: > LoCo Teams are all working to advocate digital freedom, and the > adoption of Ubuntu, GNU/Linux, Free Software, and Free Formats, as I mentioned in a previous thread here, if the real goal (which I obviously support) is digital freedom, then you are listing the priorities backwards. Said that way, it may almost seem that Free Formats, for example, are just an excuse to get Ubuntu everywhere just for the sake of Ubuntu. But Ubuntu is just one of the many means to an end. When, instead, Free Formats are the most important thing (absolutely necessary for everybody, but possible even if only proprietary software existed) followed closely by Free Software, with Ubuntu being just one of the many ways to implement these objectives. I have already explained the risk in presenting things in this way (or letting them be perceived in this way, if you prefer) in the other thread, so I won't repeat that now. 2) try to make activists directly involve *parents*, for example organizing talks in schools, mother clubs, parents associations and similar, with arguments like these: http://digifreedom.net/node/74 Hope this helps, Marco -- Your own civil rights and the quality of your life heavily depend on how software is used *around* you: http://digifreedom.net/node/84 -- ubuntu-marketing mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-marketing
