I agree Corey. I was also disappointed to see mention of codecs/flash/java. 
What is this obsession people have with codecs being pre-installed (a la 
xandros / linux mint / pclinuxos)? No other OS (windows and osx included) 
can play _all_ media out of the box, so why do people project that 
expectation on Linux (and specifically Ubuntu)?

Windows cant play divx, macs cant play oggs _out of the box_. At least 
Ubuntu can install codecs for the vast majority of media after some 
auto-codec-magic, that neither of the other major OSs ( and most Linux 
distros ) flat out don't have.
