I use this for the screencasts site and can tell (for example) how many people subscribe to each feed and what clients they use (interestingly about 1000 subscribers use Miro [democracyplayer]). In addition (or alternatively) using something simple like webalizer on the host where the ogg/mp3 files are located is good for showing numbers of downloads. Depending on where they are hosted (possibly Canonical if we ask nicely) we could ask for either access to the apache logs to generate web stats ourselves, or alternatively ask Canonical system admins to do that for us directly on the host.
