Hi all, We've had requests for a "to do" list and that's a fair request, particularly for new members.
These are all projects that are active and that need your help now. The Fridge: we need stories about Ubuntu and the Ubuntu community, bearing in mind this is seen as an official news source. We also need ideas - backed-up by action - on how to expand and improve The Fridge. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Fridge Ubuntu Weekly News: news for the community about the community. Spotted some great Ubuntu-related work? Add it to the draft. This is perfect for people interested in the magazine. Writing content is the hardest task you've set yourselves. Why not write it for UWN and the Fridge? In particular, see the "In the press" and "Feature of the week" sections ... or suggest new sections. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuWeeklyNewsletter/ Case studies: super-important project, this one, and easy for anyone to get involved in. See http://www.ubuntu.com/mystory Knot reports: updates on the development progress of Edgy Eft. More to come from Corey. Research hub: see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MarketingTeam/Research and Melissa's previous mails to the list. Ubuntu Video: see John's previous mails to the list. Ubuntu Counter: nice and simple promotional tool. Needs promotion itself. http://ubuntucounter.org/ Stuff not yet active but we might like to do: SpreadUbuntu: would need to focus on providing resources for grass-roots advocacy and avoid duplicating purpose of main Ubuntu website. Ideal for working with loco teams. Press relations: provide resources to community - probably mainly loco teams - for PR work. Main Ubuntu website input: help with main website content, direction, etc, if appropriate. I've specifically not put the magazine here, as I know many people feel it should be part of the Fridge. Obviously, there's nothing stopping people creating a magazine but I strongly believe we should work on what we have, rather than come up with near-duplicates. If I've missed anything, please reply. Thanks. -- Matthew Revell www.understated.co.uk -- Matthew Revell www.understated.co.uk -- ubuntu-marketing mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-marketing
