Ok, here is the instructions for Pidgin:
Accounts > Manage Accounts > Add
irc account,
username: yours
server: irc.freenode.net
then connect to channel #ubuntu-manual. If that doesn't work let me
know, or try http://www.ubuntu-gr.org/webchat . Where
#ubuntu-gr replace it with #ubuntu-manual and connect !
