Public bug reported: I am reading Ubuntu-Manual revision 729, and believe I have found some incorrect information.
Per http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/04/lubuntu-not-joining-ubuntu- family-until.html and https://lists.launchpad.net/lubuntu- desktop/msg01055.html, Lubuntu will most likely not become an official Ubuntu derivative until at least 10.10. On pages 25 (Chapter 2) and 148 (Chapter 9), however, it is mentioned as an official *buntu.
