-- (Inconsistent) use of apt-get and aptitude https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/546289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Manual Team, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Manual. Status in Ubuntu Manual: Fix Committed Bug description: On page 143, the method of package management 'apt-get' is used, while the package management section starting from page 127 is using aptitude. There was a discussion in the wiki team which to use and they came to the rule: use apt-get. It would be a very strange move for the manual to use aptitude instead. I know this is a controversial subject, but I think that for the sake of consistency between manual and wiki, the manual must use apt-get. downloaded version english: March 24 revision: 561 _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual Post to : ubuntu-manual@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
