This looks self-contained enough to be easy to test, so if you want to
push this, it looks fine to me.

I subscribed the documentation team. Please wait on their ACK/NACK,
though, I'm not sure how much documentation/screenshots this affects.

I guess the strings are also new, and can't be taken from the previous
labels?

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity

I've received a request from the design team to add inactive labels to the
GtkEntry widgets on the user setup page, so that we can get rid of the
superfluous help text below the password entry.

The result is something like this:
http://assets.grimaceworks.com/without-password-help.png

Please provide a freeze exception for the following:

http://launchpadlibrarian.net/40868143/inactive-labels.patch
- The GtkEntry subclass is very simple and the entirety of the new code path is
guarded by a try/except block.
- The new text is fully translatable.
