Could you try the latest install-pkgs.sh script? (It looks like you had a different problem than the others, so I'm not expecting it to work, but one never knows.) If it fails again, send me the install-pkgs.log file and also the log file for the manual (either main.log if you're compiling the English version, or the ubuntu-manual-XX.log if you're compiling for another language).
