I'm using Dell Inspiron 1564 with intel Core i5 Processor, 4GB DDR-3 RAM,1GB
ATI Readon Graphics card .....I'm using Ubuntu 10.4 and FC13 dual boot

only one unsolved problem with ubuntu is ... I'm not able to set the screen
brightness to low (0)
This occurs with 10.04 only, I think ? I faced the same issue on my
Lenovo W510. Resolved by adding the following line in xorg.conf :

Under section "Device"
Add the following line :

     Option "RegistryDwords" "EnableBrightnessControl=1"

Thanks for your suggestion but it is not working for me ..... ( there is no any effect of brightness after editing xorg.conf file .. the way you suggested )

Warm regards
