There are quite a few posts in Ubuntuforums for BSNL. Just search them for
solutions. While I have no experience with BSNL whether PPPOE, WLL or
Dialup, i am sure there are quite a few subscribers here who use BSNL that
can chip in and help resolve this.

And do not worry. This is not such a difficult issue at all.
