[ubuntu-in] Nokia phone modem to use internet

I am new to use Linux.

1. Please help me to connect Nokia E63 cellphone modem to use internet (Mobile office in airtel) in Ubuntu 8.4 . Please send in brief detail if possible. 

2. I want to learn linux from starting , guide me.
