Well this is a very tedious and not suggested process for installing
software, It`s much better ti use synaptic for intalling Mplayer

if in case there is no internet connection on the pc, you can use
Apt-Oncd on a PC with ubuntu and Internet connection , You can find
more info about Apt-ON cd here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/APTonCD

Or look for something more interesting autopackage :)
