I have a LDE210 scanner connected to my Linux box. I was running Ubuntu 16.04 but have moved on to Ubuntu Mate 16.10 since it is a home computer. I am still on Ubuntu Mate 16.04 on my server. I have not had any problem with the standard "Simple Scan" program. I while back I noticed that sometimes the Scan program that I was working with did not work but when I used a different program first it would work there after.
