Hey all, A lot of the podcast are talking about Flatpak (formerly XDG apps) which has picked up a bit of momentum and has the support of the GNOME foundation. They provide distribution agnostic packages with everything bundled in. http://flatpak.org/#about
I haven't done any testing yet but it looks like a way of potentially allowing people to always have the latest GNOME apps in a reliable way.
